Fleece is a soft napped insulating fabric made from polyester. It was made to mimic and, in some ways, surpass wool. It is made from synthetic fibres, mainly Polyethylene terephthalate. Fleece is washable, quick drying, super soft and warm. Fleece makes fantastic blankets and throws, but is also brilliant for dressmaking, it will even retain its insulating properties when wet which makes it fantastic for use at the beach. Fleece fabric also makes a cheap pet bedding that easily washed and quick to dry.
